Prudence Wallet

Personal spending tracker

See which purchases really mattered.

Prudence Wallet ranks every purchase you make, from Essential to Wasteful. Each week you see where your money really went and how much you could save by cutting the parts you regret.

Not a bank, and not a crypto wallet. Prudence only reads and ranks your spending. It never holds or moves money, and it will never ask for your card number, bank password or a seed phrase.

A week of spending, ranked (example data)

How it works

Three steps, a couple of minutes a week.

  1. 01

    Add your spending

Type in purchases yourself, or link an account so they arrive on their own. Works in your home currency, from pounds to naira.

  2. 02

    Rank each purchase

Prudence suggests a tier and asks what it was for. It learns your habits, so repeat purchases get ranked for you.

  3. 03

    See the honest picture

Weekly totals by tier, a gentle nudge when spending drifts, and what you'd save in a year by trimming the wasteful end.

Seven tiers, from Essential to Wasteful

Not all spending is equal. Every purchase lands somewhere on this scale.

  • Essential must be paid
  • Necessary everyday basics
  • Worthwhile good value
  • Leisure planned enjoyment
  • Splurge a pricey extra
  • Impulse bought in the moment
  • Wasteful you'd take it back

What Prudence is not

Plainly, so there's no confusion.

  • Not a bank or payment appIt can't send, receive or hold money.
  • Not a crypto walletNo coins, no tokens, and it will never ask for a seed phrase or private key.
  • Not after your bank loginOptional bank links go through Plaid's own secure window; Prudence never sees your bank password.
